- The purpose of Black Student Union is to plan and promote programs on an academic and social level that keep students, specifically African-Americans, actively involved in achieving success. Black Student Union also plans to promote unity and create programs that are conducive to the spiritual, educational, and social well-being of all people, especially those of African-American descent, throughout the Diaspora. In addition, the Black Student Union is committed to providing and promoting leadership opportunities, understanding, goodwill, diversity, friendship among all people within the surrounding communities.
